Cristosal has interdisciplinary and inter-programmatic teams that bring their human rights tools to bear on the problems of social exclusion and discrimination against the LGBTIQ+ community. Sociocultural factors that contribute to erasing sexual diversity from policy and protection lead to impunity in cases of violence and threats against LGBTIQ+ people. This affects not only the survival of victims but the well-being of the whole LGBTIQ+ community in the three countries.

Our team works to bring to light the violations of the rights of the LGBTIQ+ population and the different kinds of violence they face. We do this by looking closely at the realities and critical factors.
