
Rev. Mike Angell

The Rev. Mike Angell began working with Cristosal in 2006. He joined the board in 2019. Mike has served as the 13th rector of The Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion in St. Louis since 2015. Before accepting his current call, Mike served on the staff of the presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church as the church-wide Missioner for Young Adult & Campus Ministries. He has also served as Assistant Rector at St. John’s Church, Lafayette Square, Washington DC. At St. John’s, Mike led justice and outreach ministries and also served as a primary priest for the Spanish-speaking congregation. Mike was also on the strategy team for the Washington Interfaith Network, a community-organizing project of the Industrial Areas Foundation. Mike graduated from the University of San Diego and Virginia Theological Seminary. He also studied at Oxford University and ITESO, the Jesuit University of Guadalajara, Mexico. Between college and Seminary, Mike served for a year with the Young Adult Service Corps of The Episcopal Church at El Hogar, a foster home and school in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Mike and his husband Ellis are the proud parents of Silas, whom they adopted in 2020 through the foster system.
